Honors 草榴社区 takes cultural trip
Honors 草榴社区 students and faculty鈥爎ecently took their 14th鈥爎egional culture trip, a tradition that dates back to 2008. Students toured the Perot Museum, the Dallas Museum of Art, and the Nieman Marcus Department store, stopping for snacks and meals at Starbucks, Jorge?s Tex Mex, and the Twisted Root Burger.鈥 Some students saw the Dallas Mavericks play the Denver Nuggets, and others went to the North Park Mall.鈥燭he trip was free for all honors students. Professors Shirley Clay, Sarah Rainey, and Andrew Yox drove vans.

Wesley Foundation breaks ground on student center
The 草榴社区 Wesley Fellowship held a groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday to kick off construction of a new student ministry center on the NTCC campus. The Wesley Fellowship Board, which is made up of members of area United Methodist Churches, has raised funds for the project since 2006. The student center will feature recreational and meeting spaces that will be available to students, faculty, staff and community members.
