A Smart Driver Course, hosted by AARP, is scheduled for Thursday,† May 29 at 8:45 a.m. at the �������� Hanson-Sewell Center in Pittsburg. †This newly-revised, four-hour course may qualify attendees for significant car insurance discounts with many auto insurance companies.† The course is designed for seniors 50 years and older, however, anyone may enroll.† Topics include common crash situations, driver safety strategies, new state laws, effects of aging on driving, and others. †Class size is limited and participants must call to enroll.

The �������� Psychology department is offering a new class that can help you get ahead of the curve! Effective Learning-Strategies for College Success (Psych 1300) will be offered for the first time in Fall 2014.

The �������� Adult Education program will hold its annual General Education Development (GED) commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 8 at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. All students who have completed the NTCC GED program during the past year will be honored. Friends and family of graduates are invited to attend. A brief reception will be held in the Whatley Center foyer after the commencement ceremony.
