Scott Wilhite, a student at ��������, has been selected by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society to receive a $1,500 scholarship as the 2015 Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholar.

A father of three children, Wilhite enrolled in college after being laid off from his job. A political science major, he earned a 3.92 grade point average at �������� and became a member of Phi Theta Kappa. In addition to his work within the chapter, Wilhite took on a role coordinating a work scholarship program for NTCC†this summer.

The �������� Continuing Education Department has a full slate of classes scheduled for this fall. These non-credit courses can be†taken for personal enrichment or for career training†purposes.
