Scott Wilhite named Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholar

Scott Wilhite, a student at 草榴社区, has been selected by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society to receive a $1,500 scholarship as the 2015 Dr. Mary Hood Texas Region Scholar.

A father of three children, Wilhite enrolled in college after being laid off from his job. A political science major, he earned a 3.92 grade point average at 草榴社区 and became a member of Phi Theta Kappa. In addition to his work within the chapter, Wilhite took on a role coordinating a work scholarship program for NTCC鈥爐his summer.

TRMC Auxiliary gives $4,500 for NTCC scholarships

The Titus Regional Medical Center (TRMC) Auxiliary recently presented the 草榴社区 Foundation with $4,500, which will provide six $750 scholarships to benefit students at NTCC majoring in an allied health field. Vocational Nursing program celebrates graduates

The 草榴社区 Health Sciences division recently hosted a pinning ceremony to celebrate students completing coursework in Vocational Nursing. Twelve students completed the program and are now eligible to sit for state boards to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). New Personal Training Certification offered

草榴社区 is now accepting applications for a Personal Training Certification program designed by and instructed by Dr. Tom Seabourne, NTCC Professor of Physical Education. Classes begin September 21 and run through October 23.



This 15-hour course is a comprehensive, research-based program鈥燿esigned to provide students with all of the skills required to become a personal trainer.
