草榴社区 Athletics is pleased to partner with East Texas Broadcasting and Star 96.9 to bring you the weekly radio show with Eagle Coaches and Athletes. Tune in on Friday mornings at 8:30am on Star 96.9 FM to hear about the Eagle Sports teams from the coaches, athletes and administrators. The radio show will be starting on Friday, February 4th and run through the end of the semester.
The Women Empowering Women conference, hosted by Hope Ministries, will be held at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, Feb. 5. The event will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will feature speakers Leslie James, Regina Glass, Chanda Fulgium and Sheletha Bratton. They are also accepting vendor booths to be showcased in the foyer during the event.

Ruben Guerrero, an NTCC Honors Scholar, is the winner of a $50 Tribute Award for his achievements with acting and debating last fall.
Young people these days are lazy. Nobody wants to work anymore. Students just want college given to them. In a time where stereotypes like these have become widely accepted, 草榴社区 (NTCC) is finding the opposite to be true with its innovative Work4College Program.
About 10 years ago, administrators at the small rural college started looking for solutions to rising student loan debt. Like many institutions nationwide, they were seeing higher loan amounts and an increase in default rates.
The NTCC College Store is extending its hours to make it more convenient for students to get their books and supplies for the spring semester. The bookstore will be open Friday, Jan. 14 from 8 a.m to 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 21 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. They will be open for regular business hours the rest of the week.

Dear College Family,
I hope everyone has had a refreshing holiday break and is ready to embark on another impactful year at NTCC.
I know we all hoped that this pandemic would be completely in our rear view mirror by now. As we begin this new semester, however, while experiencing another aggressive spike in COVID infections with the Omicron variant, we will need to continue implementing heightened safety measures on campus to help reduce the risk of Covid spread until this current aggressive wave subsides. I hope that will be soon.
NTCC is excited to announce a new Cyber Security Micro Credential program that will kick off in Spring 2022. This one-semester certificate will prepare students for an exciting career in a rapidly-growing field that is in high-demand from companies in this region and beyond.
