Texas A&M University-Texarkana at NTCC and Communities In Schools are conducting a drive to collect donations of personal hygiene items and children's unisex athletic pants (youth sizes 6-8-10-12). Donations will benefit local families. Donations are being accepted through May 1 at the A&M-Texarkana at NTCC office in UHS. 

Eagle staff with awards

The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Eagle staff recently attended the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association convention in Corpus Christi and brought home 25 awards including Overall Excellence in Division 5 and third place in Best of Show in Division 3. 

Alma Marquez receives award

The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Adult Education Department recently learned that ESL (English as a Second Language) student Alma Marquez received the Texas Association for Literacy and Adult Education (TALAE) ESL Persistence Adult Learner of the Year Award.

Chesney Davis

²ÝÁñÉçÇø recently learned that Chesney Davis is one of only 15 students nationwide to be named a 2019 Guistwhite Scholar. The honor comes with a $5,000 scholarship for baccalaureate studies and a commemorative medallion.

The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Art Department will host the Mount Pleasant Art Society Annual Membership Show March 25 through April 5 in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.

spring break

²ÝÁñÉçÇø will be closed for spring break March 11-15. We will resume regular classes and business hours on Monday, March 18. In case of an emergency on campus during this time, please contact security at 903-563-1417. We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing break!

Dr. Winston McCowan, retired Biology Professor at NTCC, was presented by Temple Masonic. Lodge No.70  Mount Pleasant, Texas. The Mirabeau B. Lamar award of excellence for personal achievement.

students at WHAT meeting

Nine faculty and students from NTCC attended the World History Association of Texas (WHAT) meeting held on the campus of Texas A&M University - Commerce February 22-23.

Daniel Landaverde

Daniel Landaverde was recently named the winner of the 2019 Chitsey Award, granted each year to the student of Honors ²ÝÁñÉçÇø who most exceeded expectations.  The award comes with a $200 check.
