The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of board member Jerry Webster Tuesday evening at the regular December meeting.

The Adult Education Department at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø is accepting new students for its GED (General Educational Development) and ESL (English as a Second Language) programs.

Santa’s Sweeties recently presented the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Foundation with a check for $1,000 to sponsor the 12th Annual ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Texas Poetry Contest.

Ned and Margaret Muse, of Pittsburg, recently presented the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Foundation with a check for $2,100 to establish a new travel scholarship.

The Thanksgiving holiday for cooks is anything but a holiday to be putting it mildly. It is filled with all kinds of family favorites and historic dishes that challenge each household to get everything just right for the big reveal on the family table.

Jaidyn Taylor Thompson, of Jenkins in Morris County has become the 2020 Texas Heritage National Bank (THNB) Scholar of NTCC. Chairman of the Board of THNB, John Bryan, made this official, 27 August. This $4,000 scholarship goes to a top Presidential Scholar of the NTCC Honors Program. Thompson, will inherit this prestigious designation from other previous vanguard students of NTCC: Mercedes Collins, now at Grand Canyon University in Arizona; Jordan Whelchel, now at Rice University; Cassidy Watkins, now working at the San Marcos Treatment Center, and Emmalea Shaw, now working toward her doctorate in physical therapy at the North Texas State medical campus in Fort Worth.
