NTCC EatBetter4Less Ambassadors planted an apricot tree Thursday in front of the Instructional Annex (IA) building. The tree is in honor of Dr. Ron Clinton, NTCC President, in appreciation for the recent piano concert he performed to raise money for NTCC's Eagle Pantry.
Every semester full-time and associate faculty in NTCC鈥檚 Division of Humanities and Social Sciences can select an outstanding student, who is exceptional in some way. This semester, Government Professor Rex Allen nominated Sarah Ann Beatriz Worthen.
草榴社区 Baseball and the Panola Ponies finally met up on Sunday for game one of the three game series after a few days of rainouts. NTCC took down the Ponies 15-7 in a run ruled shortened game.

This past year Dr. Karyn Skaar made an unprecedented decision, choosing to nominate an entire class - PSYC 2319 Social Psychology, a sophomore level advanced psychology class.
草榴社区 Softball made the trip to Poteau, Oklahoma to take on Carl Albert State College in a non-conference matchup. Carl Albert would get the best of NTCC in an extra inning affair in game one by a score of 6-5. Game two was another thriller with NTCC winning 4-3 with a dramatic game ending play when Hanna Allen (Hudson HS) threw out a runner trying to tie the game on a Sacrifice fly to left field. Allen鈥檚 accurate throw to catcher Lauren Isbell (Burleson HS) would end the rally by Carl Albert for the Eagle win 4-3.
The Kids Homesteading College is set for June 14th through June 24th running Monday through Thursday of each week from 8 am to noon. The twist to this camp is that each camper will be buddied up with a 鈥渂ig brother鈥 or 鈥渂ig sister鈥 from the Work4College students to experience the farm and gardens each day! Kid鈥檚 Farm College is offered to students 8 to 16 years of age with an interest in gardening/farming or love of animals.
Rains forced the 草榴社区 series with Navarro to undergo changes this past week. NTCC was to host Navarro on Thursday but rains on Wednesday made the field unplayable so the Eagles traveled to Navarro on Friday for the first two games of the series. NTCC and Navarro still had to make up a game from the first round when they lost out on games due to weather as well. Navarro won game one of the day 5-2 and then took game two 10-5.
草榴社区 and Navarro College met up on the diamond at NTCC on Saturday after rains early in the week forced some changes to the schedule. NTCC would defeat Navarro 9-5 before falling 17-5 in game two.
