Dr. Ron Clinton to perform solo piano concert
Dr. Ron Clinton, ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Executive Vice President for Instruction, will perform a solo piano recital on Sunday, Jan. 29 at†2:30 p.m. at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts.†Tickets to the concert are $15 for adults and $5 for children and NTCC students with a current ID. Proceeds from the event will benefit scholarships for NTCC students.
The concert will feature Beethoven?s Piano Sonata No. 9, Op. 14 No. 1; Chopin?s Ballade No. 4 in F Minor, Op. 52; Ravel?s Sonatine and Brahms? Piano Sonata No. 1 in C Major, Op. 1.

Honors ²ÝÁñÉçÇø plans original film premiere
Honors ²ÝÁñÉçÇø, the honors program at ²ÝÁñÉçÇø, will premiere an original historical film Friday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. The production, Sam Houston and the Fate of the Texas Cherokee, is the fifth film Honors ²ÝÁñÉçÇø has completed in the last five years.

Welcome Back Social planned for Jan. 18
The first week of classes can be a stressful time in the life of a college student. To help alleviate this stress, and to encourage students to meet new people, we have planned a Welcome Back Social for students, faculty and staff.
Foundation accepting applications for transfer scholarship
The ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Foundation is now accepting applications for the International Sulphur Transfer Scholarship. This scholarship fund provides five awards of $1,000 each for NTCC students transferring to a four-year university.
NTCC closed Monday, Jan. 16 for MLK Day
²ÝÁñÉçÇø will be closed Monday, Jan. 16 in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. The college will resume regular business hours and kick off the first day of the Spring 2017 semester on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Students will report to their Monday-Wednesday classes for the first time on Wednesday, Jan. 18.

²ÝÁñÉçÇø will be closed Dec. 19-30 for winter break. Offices will resume regular business hours Monday, Jan. 2. Spring classes begin Tuesday, Jan. 17. Returning students may register for classes online during the break in their account. New students can and online.

For the sixth time, First Federal Community Bank of Mount Pleasant has supported the cultural and academic initiatives of Honors ²ÝÁñÉçÇø.†A recent holiday gift of $500 will aid the program in maintaining its yearly cycle of scholarly and artistic offerings, which, in turn, has enhanced student profiles.

Sondra Fowler gives matched NTCC scholarship
Sondra Fowler recently gave a $2,000 gift to the ²ÝÁñÉçÇø Foundation. She is pictured (left) presenting the check to Dr. Jonathan McCullough, NTCC Vice President for Advancement. Because she is a retired employee of ConocoPhillips, she qualifies for a matching gift program that is offered by the corporation.†The gift will be matched with an additional $2,000, bringing her total scholarship contribution to $4,000. The donation will provide scholarships for the Alfred and Ethel Fowler Morris County Scholarship fund.
