The 草榴社区 Texas Career Alliance (NTCA) is a collaborative pilot program uniting five school districts, 草榴社区 (NTCC), and local industry partners to offer specialized career pathways for students. This innovative program gives access to high-demand fields designed to meet the evolving needs of 草榴社区 Texas industries.
Dr. Chris McAllister (pictured above), NTCC Professor of Biology, attended the 108th meeting of the Arkansas Academy of Science (AAS) at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas, April 4-5, 2025.
Dr. Mac presented two oral presentations as well as two posters. He has been attending the AAS meeting since 1978 when he presented his first paper at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. He served as Managing Editor of the journal from 2006-2008.

草榴社区 is pleased to announce the promotion of Assistant Coach Dillon Williams to Head Women鈥檚 Soccer coach. Dillon joined the Eagles Staff in August of 2024.
The 草榴社区 Theatre Department invites the community to a delightful evening of wit and charm with its spring production of The Importance of Being Earnest, Oscar Wilde鈥檚 celebrated comedic masterpiece. Performances will be held at the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts April 24th-26th at 7 p.m. with a special 2 p.m. matinee on Saturday, April 26th.
The 草榴社区 Art Department is currently hosting its annual Student Art Show in the foyer of the Whatley Center for the Performing Arts. This week, a reception was held to honor all of the artists and announce contest winners. The gallery is open to the public during regular business hours and the show will be on display through April 29th.
Experience the vibrant flavors of the islands as 草榴社区鈥檚 Culinary Arts program presents 鈥淎 Taste of Hawaii鈥 on Wednesday, May 1, 2025, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the NTCC Culinary Arts school in downtown Pittsburg (114 Jefferson Street).

The NTCC STEM Club is hosting two Lunch and Learn sessions in April.
On Tuesday, April 15, NTCC students Isabel Tresidder, Gracie Gray, and Stephanie Hernandez, members of Dr. Chris McAllister鈥檚 BIOL 2389 Academic Cooperative course, will share their research conducted in Arkansas over Spring Break.
