After five lead changes, the 草榴社区 Eagles (NTCC) baseball team pulled out a 3-2 win against Paris on Thursday, bringing their record to 16-9 with 13 games remaining in the regular season.
The Eagles finally managed to grab the lead after a strong eighth inning on an RBI single by Connor Hall, scoring Garrett Douglas.鈥燭ristan Graham had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the sixth inning.鈥燴ach Osbon shut-down Paris while he was on the hill. Osbon gave up just one hit, allowed one earned run,鈥燼nd gave up one walk鈥燿uring his five innings of work.
Tanner Buxton recorded the win for the Eagles. He allowed one run over鈥爐he final鈥爁our innings. He struck out six, walked two and surrendered three hits.鈥燩aris? starting pitcher鈥爈asted just two innings, walked one, struck out four, and allowed one run.鈥燭he top of the first saw Paris take an early lead, 1-0.鈥燭he Eagles scored on a solo home run by Graham.鈥燭he teams then traded runs before NTCC scored the winning run in the eighth.
The Eagles will be鈥爋n the road against Paris in a double header on Saturday and鈥燽ack鈥燼t NTCC鈥爁or a double header against Navarro with the first game starting at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 2 and the second at 1 p.m. on Friday.
